Katie, ‘Moe’ & Faye

MoeFaye Travel, Inc. is a small company, owned and operated by a married couple; senior citizens who took early retirement from their regular professions. Faye Hochnedel-Greenwood was a Home Economist/County Extension Agent in Sevier County, and G. D. ‘Moe’ Greenwood is a Professional Engineer who headed the Planning Dept. at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville.

Faye organized annual tours for Sevier County homemakers as part of her job; while ‘Moe’ took some training and worked in a Travel Agency for a while after retirement. They started volunteering at a Senior Center; putting together trips in an old 14 passenger Dodge Van. Increasing numbers of travelers soon required chartering motor coaches. After 4-5 years as volunteers, they became the coordinators for the Covenant Senior Health PASSPORT Travel Program. 2008 will be their sixth year in that capacity. During 2007 they added a third member to the team, Katie Arwood. Katie is helping with reservations and some of the office functions, plus she functions as tour manager on many of the coach trips. As they add trips to the schedule you will Katie more frequently than in the past.

They all love to travel on their own and have visited all but one or two of the states in the USA; plus many countries in Europe, Asia, Central America, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. When they are not conducting tours for PASSPORT, Faye & ‘Moe’ are out scouting locations which can be used for future tour destinations.

They enjoy their jobs and it rubs off on the folks who travel with them. You are invited to join PASSPORT travelers and make your reservation on one or more of the trips. In 2007, if everyone who has reserved makes the trips, over 900 members will have enjoyed themselves on one or more of the Covenant PASSPORT trips.
