  • Especially with our multi-day Mystery Trips there isn’t much we can say without spoiling the Mystery. What can be said is this: There will be two nights lodging in a hotel, 4-5 meals, entertainment, education and something a little different. This too may be a little ‘off the beaten path’, but we believe it will be an enjoyable trip. Remember our 2-day Mystery trip to N. Georgia and the great time we had on that one. 13 days – Alaska Discovery Land & Cruise. Aug 20 – Sept 1, 2008
August 20 - September 01, 2008

  • We fly from Knoxville to Fairbanks where we spend two nights while we visit the Alaskan Pipeline, ride the riverboat DISCOVERY, visit a fish camp and share a home-hosted dinner with a local Fairbanks family. We then depart for Denali Nat. Park on the domed rail car train for some delightful sight seeing en’route. At Denali we will participate in the Tundra Wilderness Tour where, with a little luck, we will see many varieties of native wildlife in this majestic National Park. We spend a night near Denali National Park, then coach through the mountains to Anchorage for a city tour; then on to Seward where we board our cruise ship. On the 7-night cruise we travel through Glacier Bay & College Fjord with a stop to view the Hubbard Glacier. Ports of call will be Haines, Juneau—Alaska’s Capital city & Ketchikan. We cruise through the Inside Passage then disembark at Vancouver. A city tour of Vancouver is followed by coach transfer to Seattle for an overnight before we fly back to Knoxville....

17 days – South Pacific Wonders with Australia, New Zealand & Fiji. October 9 – 25, 2008
October 09 - October 25, 2008

  • We fly overnight from Knoxville to Cairns, Australia. 3 nights in Cairns provide time to visit the Great Barrier Reef by high-speed catamaran; see the reefs and the diverse marine life via glass bottom boat or semi-submersible craft & from the pier; or by optional scuba diving or snorkeling. At the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural center we’ll see traditional Aboriginal dances, learn about their life style, throw a boomerang or play a didgeridoo. At Hartley’s Croc Farm tour we will see koalas, kangaroos and crocodiles.

    A quick daytime flight to Sydney for our next 3 night stay, is followed by dinner in a revolving restaurant viewing the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House by night. A city tour includes the Botanic Gardens, Kings Cross, behind the scenes at the Opera House, Chinatown, plus many other attractions. Learn how opals are mined and processed into beautiful jewelry. A dinner cruise in Sydney Harbor followed by a performance at the Opera House completes our Australia portion of the trip.

    Following our time in Sydney, we fly to Christchurch, NZ for 3 nights to begin our NZ visit. A gondola ride to the Skyline Restaurant for dinner on arrival day lets us see Queenstown in both day and night time glory. Tomorrow a coach trip through NZ’s Southern Alps to Milford Sound with a deep-water cruise through some of the most breathtaking scenery you can imagine; the countryside where the Lord of the Rings movies were made is then followed by a day at leisure (often needed on a 17 day trip) provides time for an optional detailed tour of ‘Rings’ filming sites. On our last day in Queenstown we will take a visit to Mt Cook National Park for some of the most delightful mountain scenery we will encounter. Leaving there we coach to Christchurch for our final 3 nights in New Zealand. A guided tour of the city, time for some personal sightseeing before our dinner with a New Zealand family in their home occupies this day, Next day we visit a working farm, see sheep being sheared and herded with dogs. The afternoon has an optional visit to the Antarctic Center, the gateway to the U.S. and N.Z. Antarctic expeditions. Next day we fly to Nadi, Fiji for two nights at the Sheraton Fiji resort prior to our return flights back to the U.S....

8 day with a 7-night cruise to the BAHAMAS on Norwegian Cruise ship MAJESTY, Jan 16-24, 2009

  • Motor coach to Charleston; dinner (incl.); 1-nights lodging with breakfast incl.; Charleston city tour with local guide; shopping time at the MARKET in Old Town; then a transfer to the cruise dock for a 7-night cruise on NCL’s MAJESTY. Ports of call at Grand Bahamas Island, Nassau, Great Stirrup Cay & Port Canaveral, FL before returning to Charleston; then coach back to Knoxville.
    First 50 travelers reserved before Sept 15 are guaranteed; then we will ‘wait list’ the next 30 before adding a second coach. Once the 2nd coach is added we can then take up to 100 travelers.
    ALL reservations MUST be deposited before Sept 15, 2008. After that reservations are strictly ‘space available’ and at the then-current pricing for the cruise....

14 days: 10-night cruise to the PANAMA CANAL on Royal Caribbean Cruise ship The JEWEL of the SEAS
January 28 - February 12, 2009

  • Motor coach to Miami; 1-nights lodging in Jacksonville, FL; coach to W. Palm Beach, FL, dinner (incl) and lodging; breakfast the next morning (incl); a city tour of the Palm Beach area with a local guide; coach to the port in Miami; board RCCL’s JEWEL for a 10 night cruise with ports-of-call at Labadee, Haiti; Cartagena, Colombia; cruise through two locks of the Canal then back; Cristobal Pier, Panama; Puerto Limon, costa Rica; George Town, Grand Cayman; then back to Miami, FL. We then board our coach and return to Knoxville with one overnight stop in Jacksonville, FL (breakfast incl). For travelers who cannot get away for 14 days we offer an option to fly from Knoxville to Miami on Jan 30, returning Feb 8. This option will be unescorted (because our tour guides will be on the coaches).

    First 50 travelers reserved before Aug 9 are guaranteed; then we will ‘wait list’ the next 30 before adding a second coach. Once the 2nd coach is added we can then take up to 100 coach travelers and up to 26 air/cruise travelers.

11 day – PASSION PLAY at Oberammergau, Germany, with tour of Switzerland, Austria & Germany.
May 23 - June 02, 2010

    A very narrow ‘window of opportunity’ exists for securing tickets in Oberammergau, Germany for the ‘once in 10 years’ production of the PASSION PLAY. (Click here for history of the Passion Play) This world class event will draw Christians from literally all over the world. We have 50 spaces ‘block reserved’ until July 1 for each of the two dates listed above. They will be sold on a first come/first served basis and once beyond July 1, all guarantees of space will pass.

    On the trip we will fly from Knoxville, TN to Milan, Italy; transfer to Stressa in the lake country and Italian Alps for two nights; then transfer to Zermatt, Switzerland for two nights; then one night at St. Moritz, Switzerland; two nights at Insbruck, Austria; and finally two nights in Oberammergau or Garmish, Germany; flying home from Munich, Germany. During that time we will have a boat ride on a lake to Isola dei Pescatori; coach through the Lake country of Italy; cross into Switzerland at Lugano; coach through the Italian & Swiss Alps; ride a train into the Alpine village of Zermatt; view the Matterhorn; ride the famed Glacier Express, the world’s most exciting narrow gage railroad through the Alps; join the ‘rich and famous’ at St Moritz; then coach through Austria to Innsbruck and Salzburg where the famous Salzburg Castle is and where the “Sound of Music” movie was filmed; see Mozart’s birthplace, Mirabell Gardens, St. Peters Restaurant, and much more; do a walking tour of Munich with its famed Glockenspiel and the Olympic Park en route to two nights in Oberammergau, nestled in the Bavarian Alps. We will see the famed PASSION PLAY, enjoy the woodcarvers and delight in the scenery before we coach into Munich for our flight back to Tennessee.

    Deposits are required at reservation, before July 1, 2008, then a schedule of payments will be available for spreading the final costs over the next two years before the performance. Trip cancellation insurance will be offered, and due the amount of time between reservation and departure, is strongly recommended.

2009

  • April/May, 2009: A fly/cruise/motor coach trip to Holland during the time when the tulips are in bloom. Fly from Knoxville; cruise on a river cruiser for 5-7 nights; take motor coach excursions off the river cruiser in Holland and Belgium while remaining on the cruiser at night. This trip is in the planning stages and detailed information will be available as soon as all arrangements are finalized.

  • July/August, 2009: Canadian Rockies fly/scenic train/motor coach trip to the beautiful Canadian Rockies with stops in Vancouver, Calgary, and others. This trip is in the planning stages and detailed information will be available as soon as all arrangements are finalized.

  • Sept/Oct, 2009: Southern Italy/Sicily. Those of you who went with us to Italy when we flew to Rome, then toured Rome, Florence, Venice, Milano, and other points NORTH, have been clamoring for the ‘rest of the story’. Accordingly this will be the SOUTHERN part of this delightful country. This trip is in the planning stages and detailed information will be available as soon as all arrangements are finalized.
